Introducing an exciting exhibition entitled 'In Flight', showcasing artwork by Hazel Mountford, David Le Prevost and Hayley Mallett; with subjects ranging from flying insects, to birds and planes.

Hazel Mountford is a fine art acrylic painter based in Bristol, her paintings are highly detailed, presented on simple or minimal backgrounds they strive to capture a sense of quiet beauty, allowing the viewer time to pause and reconnect with nature.  Hazel's work has been featured in Art of England, the BBC Wildlife Magazine, Artists and Illustrators and the RA Magazine. She has exhibited in London, Glasgow, Dublin, Brussels, New York, Toronto, Singapore and Hong Kong. In 2009 Hazel won the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year- British Mammals and in 2016 and 2019 was shortlisted for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year.
Hazel will be joining us for the Private View, which will be a great opportunity for you to meet the artist and she will be discussing her work on the day.

David Le Prevost is a local photographer who will be selling a selection of artwork at the event to raise money for Male Uprising Guernsey.
Most of you already know Hayley Mallett from Sula Gallery; she will be exhibiting a selection of her bead embroidery birds and insects, which have proved very popular since she finished her #100daysoffrenchbirds project.

We are also looking forward to featuring live music by The Crowband and poetry and Prose by Tim Slader.

As part of the Heritage75 Festival in Summer 2020 Sula are pleased to announce another exciting exhibition opportunity.

The exhibition will be titled 'Guernsey Loophole Towers' and will be open to artists of all ages and mediums.

The exhibition will be held from 26th April 2020, so you have plenty of time to work on something new.

A few details:
Artwork will need to be depicting one of the 15 Loophole Towers in Guernsey, either present or past. You can find a full list here.
Exhibitors are welcome to enter up to 3 pieces each.

Artwork should be professionally framed with hangings fitted. Sula will be happy to advise on this, and will offer a 10% discount on anything being framed for the exhibition.

Artwork may be offered up for sale, with our standard 30% commission taken on sales

Artwork should be no bigger than 1 metre square.

There will be a small charge of £2 per artwork entered, but you will have a chance to win this money back, as we are going to ask viewers of the exhibition to vote for their favourite piece. The chosen artist will win back the pot of money at the end of the exhibition.
